My drawings of floor plans and isometric projections play with the commodified utopias created within condo presentations centres.
I seek to disrupt the commercial perfection of these spaces by physically marring their plans with the banal actuality of everyday living.

I have subjected Floor plans -- the rational imagery representing the potential of these residences – to physical stresses including abandonment on my studio floor, the pressure of my body during sleep, and various forms of folding to accommodate my needs(a hand fan for when the air conditioner broke). The resulting distortions of these rigid plans generates an altered experience of the projected living space, allowing for my idiosyncratic existence in a generic space.

In contrast, my isometric visualizations reference the condominium advertising convention of wrapping an aspirational facade around buildings for sale, rendering surreal landscapes which are concerned more with surface illusion than actual construction.
